Hello, Gabe!

If you had asked me 10 years ago what my career plans were, I would have told you that I wanted to be a Spanish teacher in Detroit, Michigan. Now, after living in Latin America for over eleven years, my career path has taken a turn—and what an adventure it has been!

Having lived and thrived in Mexico I would be a solid contributor to the team, as I have international sales and customer service experience working from a remote position at an at-home office. I know that a position in sales goes beyond knowing the product, but building personal relationships and connections.

I currently work part-time for a South American-based Spanish immersion program. In 2015-2016 my team led the sales department, bringing in nearly 50% of the company’s direct sales. During my ten years living in Mexico as a sales leader, counselor, and educator, I have developed a study abroad program, managed five properties as a property manager, assisted in opening an English library in Valladolid, Yucatán, México and maintained positive relationships with school directors due to teaching over 50 hours of class per week in 12 different levels of English. In 2011, I arranged a study abroad experience and took 5 students from México to the United States.
On hiremymom.com it is mentioned that the candidate must meet several requirements. I would like to mention that I provide additional assets. Some experiences and skills that make me a strong candidate include:
• Experience in a remote position. Knowing how to balance your personal and work time from the home office requires control; and
• I am fluent in Spanish and English and comfortable in the Latin American culture due to living abroad in Mexico and Spain for over 11 years; and
• I have excellent writing and speaking skills (with experience in editing and translating English and Spanish texts).
