Roland Siebelink

My name is Michelle Konson and I’m applying for the business developer position you recently posted. I am excited to return to the workplace in a part time capacity after a fruitful career break to raise my 4 children. I have now taken a couple of years to carefully position and prepare myself well for this new chapter in my life. I am really looking forward to use my skills and talents to further the endeavors of my future employer.

After attaining my Business and Law degrees, I honed my legal and organizational skills at the largest and most prestigious law firm in South Africa, as well as one of the most impressive boutique hotels in the world. Both these experiences taught me the importance and essence of excellence in client relationships. I have a strong sense of always providing and producing the very best product and experience that is within my abilities.

Since that time I have been involved in a volunteer capacity in a number of arenas. My biggest role is in a field that I am passionate about in my native South Africa – raising funds and awareness of the AIDS pandemic and the catastrophic consequences thereof, particularly for orphaned children. I have organized an annual fundraiser for the past 9 years that has raised over $300 000 to date. My motivational, organizational and management skills have been used to benefit over 300 children across 3 orphanages. I have also particularly enjoyed indulging my creative side through producing and editing the school yearbook at my children’s school for the past 5 years. I am eager to move from a volunteer capacity to add even greater value to the workplace and community.

I am adaptable and am a leader in any sphere I enter. I have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and pay great attention to detail. Beyond my skills however, I believe I have character traits that would be a true asset to any organization I would join. I am honest, reliable, loyal and dependable.

If you’re seeking a competent and creative, highly productive individual, then I believe I am a strong candidate for the job. I would appreciate an interview to discuss the ways in which I could assist you in accomplishing your goals. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Michelle Konson
