Reed Cover Letter
To Whom it May Concern,
My name is Casey Reed and I’m writing to express interest in learning more about the position you have available. I find that this position is particularly aligned with what I’m seeking and what, I believe, I’m qualified for.
I’m aware that my resume has a rather large gap in employment, which may leave you with some questions. I have been working non-stop for a demanding and persistent toddler. I have been blessed with the ability to stay home with my daughter for the past three years. As much as I love being home with her, it’s time to rejoin the workforce. Although I’ve not gained any professional experience over the past few years, I have gained some valuable skills. I’m now an excellent negotiator, skilled at multi-tasking, master of resolving conflict and a true team player. I’ve also learned how to coordinate several schedules and developed a real sense of independence.
Despite my lack of professional experience, I know I’m capable of doing this job. I’m willing to learn new technologies or procedures, even if that means teaching myself as I go. I pick up on things quickly and I’m not afraid to ask for help when I need it. I’m hard-working and determined to be an asset.
Thank you for taking the time to review my application. I have included my resume. Please contact me for additional information. I can be reached by email or telephone. I look forward to hearing from you.
