Dear Rachael,

I am applying for the position of Personal Research Assistant at Wonder. I am a 2009 graduate of Grand Valley State University, having obtained a Bachelor of Science in the research-intensive program of Cellular and Molecular Biology. This program strengthened my abilities to collect and process data, while giving me a superior eye for detail and the technical capacity to investigate novel scientific research. After graduating, I continued on to an exciting career at Amway, working first as a contractor in a quality packaging lab, and soon after moving into the permanent position of quality technician in the microbiology laboratory. This career gave me a passion for quality, a desire to continually learn new concepts, and the technical capacity to write scientific papers and SOPs.

My husband and I relocated to South Carolina in 2014, where I was given the privilege of gaining more technical experience at Rogers & Callcott Environmental Laboratory, until the birth of our daughter in 2015. As an environmental laboratory technician, I was highly involved in data entry and organization, and was specifically trained in several scientific instrument techniques, including ion chromatography, TOC (total organic carbon) analysis, and ammonia distillation. Although my professional background is in laboratory analysis, I have always had a passion for writing, editing, and general online research. I am also extremely reliable, organized, detail-oriented, love helping people, and interested in pursuing a career that allows me to obtain valuable professional experience, while not missing out on those sweet years with my young daughter.

My current goal as a professional is to obtain experience working as a research assistant, while offering Wonder an excited, passionate, and educated team member who is willing to work hard to bring a positive contribution to the company. I would feel it a great privilege to be considered as a suitable candidate for this position, and would seize the opportunity. Please contact me if you have any additional questions or require more references. Thank you very much for your time, and I look forward to becoming a valuable asset to the Wonder team.

Sincerely,

Lindsey J. Wilson
