Dear Keli,
For the past 17 years, I’ve worked full time as a content manager for an educational publishing company. I recently left that role to pursue a more flexible and part-time career that will better suit my family and personal needs. The Ollin Group mission really resonated with me because I’m on a mission to make positive changes in both my personal and professional life, beginning with a better work-life balance, and I’m excited by the resources and support that your company offers.

As you’ll see in my resume, I have a pretty diverse educational background with many years of editorial experience and web-based content management. I have skills in writing, copy-editing, and proofreading, as well as research and general project management in a deadline-driven environment. I’m a proactive leader and I thrive on getting things done accurately and efficiently. I also have a background in psychology, which I feel might be useful in this role.

I see from the job description that you pride yourself on having a creative mind with somewhat of a weakness in grammar and spelling. I, on the other hand, am the exact opposite—I don’t particularly love to write (though I can) and creativity is not exactly my strong suit, but I do love to read and edit.

I’m very interested in learning more about this role. Aside from my professional interest, I think I would very much enjoy reading this content on a personal level. I see that the post says this is a part-time position, which works well for me, so I’d like to learn more about the hours expected, as well as the expectations in terms of scheduling requirements.

Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon!
