Dear Human Resources,

After reading the job description, I feel as though I’m a strongly qualified individual for this position. I have three years experience working in a municipal setting as Program Manager, where I performed tasks related to human resources. I would describe myself as a team player and able to get along with everyone. I strive to meet the goals I set for myself and learn quickly.

I previously worked for the Town of Framingham as a Program Manager for the Wastewater Division for three years. I worked as the office manager for the wastewater division. I managed the payroll using Kronos for twenty five employees. I reviewed resumes and scheduled qualified applicants with interviews. I also managed the wastewater budget and accounted for the purchase orders and spending using MUNIS. I communicated with the public on a daily basis by answering the phones and assisting them or dispatching crews to assist them with the issue.

Before my position at the Town of Framingham I worked as an administrative assistant for the Director of Human Resources. This position was a temporary contract position. I checked the accuracy of payroll of 100 employees. I also gathered overtime, travel, and GPS pay. I use Oracle, PeopleSoft on a daily basis. I create spreadsheets using Excel to show information. I’m also capable of using formulas and creating charts or tables in Excel. I kept the employees personnel files organized and efficient. Along with my weekly tasks, I was also available to employees to answer any questions they may have.
