Dear Ms Citroen,

I would like to be considered for the position of Administrative/Virtual Assistant. I saw your job listing on Hiremymom.com. My background is very diverse as I have had the opportunity to work in different companies and fields. I am a very organized person and a self-starter. I work well independently once I know what goals need to be reached.
I understand the need for the client discretion and many of my past jobs have required that. I worked for two years as the Senior Records Clerk at the UC San Diego Police Department, and had to do data entry with citations, and fingerprinting information.
I was also a Procurement Officer on the Central Prism Team at the British Embassy for six months. During my time at the British Embassy, I quickly became familiar with how the Foreign Commonwealth Office and procurement worked, despite not having a finance or procurement background. I may not have a marketing background, but I learn new programs and things very quickly and have a high attention to detail.

In addition, I worked at the American Association of Museums as their Temporary Registration Assistant. I assisted in registering museums and museum staff for their annual conference. I showed initiative and efficiency at the job. After the conference was over, they invited me back to be an Office Assistant, helping out different departments. I performed various administrative duties for the Vice Presidents of the group as well, including archiving their files and helping organize their files. I also assisted the Executive Assistant in preparing the AAM board meeting books.

I am currently a stay at home mom for two and I have been looking to do something part time from home, but a job that I can do after the kids are asleep. Since your listing said it was primarily data entry, I figured this would be a good fit for me.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Tiffany Tam
