Dear Hiring Manager,
I am your pink elephant! Thank you so much for considering me for your Marketing Assistant position. I have worked in account and project management for the last 11 years and feel that I would be an outstanding asset to Pumpables.
For the last 3 years, I worked as an Account Manager for UrgeMedia, a marketing and media placement company based in Eagle, CO. I worked directly with our CEO to manage projects for UrgeMedia’s largest client. I prepared sales proposals, developed marketing strategies, and brainstormed branding initiatives. I helped select appropriate advertising channels for the client, whether it’s on the Web, apps, social media or television, based on the client’s budget and branding goals. Day to day, I managed client relationships and worked with creative teams, both internally and externally, on ad creation. I also provided detailed reports for the client identifying the viewership of each ad to gauge the success of the campaign.
Prior to that, I worked as a Project Manager for KI, a commercial furniture company based in Green Bay, WI. I was promoted to a Senior Project Manager and then a Senior Product Specialist during my 8 years with the company. Through these positions, I developed impeccable organizational, project management, and multitasking skills. I created sales proposals and product presentations. I acted as the primary point of contact for my sales team, general contractors, manufacturing facilities, and installers to manage the installation time line. After installation, I followed up to ensure customer satisfaction. I also analyzed manufacturing cost and profit margins to resolve installation issues and minimize cost of quality.
Through my education at the University of Wisconsin â€“ Green Bay, I studied extensively the businesses of Marketing, Mass Media, and Public Relations. I completed nearly 50 credits of course work within the Communication program and also completed two internships, one with Journal Broadcast Group in the Sports Department at the NBC affiliate in Green Bay, WI and the second with Cumulus Broadcasting in the Promotions department.
I am now at a point in my career where I have the desire and flexibility to move into a part time position with an organization that I feel truly passionate about. I think Pumpables fits the bill! I am a mother of two young children and used breast pumps for over a year with each of my children. I used the Medela In Style Advanced, but I am certainly familiar with other brands and pumps. I have used both Asana and Slack and am very comfortable with both software platforms / apps. I am available to work 20 or so hours per week.
