Dear Jessica,
Earlier this year, I left my full-time career as a database manager to pursue a more flexible, work from home role, to better suit my family and personal needs. While I’ve managed a variety of ad hoc projects and freelance work these past few months, I find I’m interested in looking for something a little more challenging and ongoing.

While my previous job titles might not sound like an exact fit, I’ve always considered my primary role to be a project manager and I believe my skills and experience would be a great fit for the position described here. As a prior content manager, I have a variety of project management skills, as well as strong collaboration and problem-solving techniques, that would blend seamlessly into a virtual administration role. I take pride in being an efficient self-starter, who is comfortable working remotely, and has the tools necessary to do so.

As you’ll see in my resume, I have a diverse educational background and thrive on variety and challenge in my work life. I’m proactive and like to get things done, but more importantly, I like to make people happy and I have a knack for putting my communication and technology experience to effective use to do just that. After looking over the Kickstand website, I find I’m very interested and excited in what the company has to offer and feel like my personal and professional values would be a great fit.

I hope to have to the opportunity to talk with you in person and learn more about the role. Thank you for your time.
