Most recently I was HR Director for a start-up company. One of my successes while there was writing training plans for the Indiana Department of Workforce Development resulting in 50% of wages being reimbursed to the company for successful completion of the training.
I have revised several handbooks for multiple employers. Most recently I revised the BCforward handbook and composed the California Amendment, Minnesota Amendment, and Connecticut Amendment as an addition to the Company Handbook for BCforward. I have experience managing employees in New York, New Jersey, and California.
I have been in HR for over 15 years. I have my masterâ€™s degree in Human Resources Management, my SPHR certification and my SHRM-SCP. I am an active member of National SHRM since 2010 and I was a member of the Employment Law Committee with the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce from 2014-2015.
I have progressed in my career from HR Generalist to HR Director by furthering my education and by positioning myself to be a successful strategic business leader and partner to the CEO and executive leadership team. I have been told I have an entrepreneurial spirit and I am driven by helping companies and individuals to be successful.
I have been successful in providing the CEO and Executive Leadership team with support and guidance on such topics as EEOC, Labor and Relations issues, interpreting and applying internal policies such as the company handbook, and influencing and executing strategies for managing organizational change. I have developed employee engagement programs and succession plans for the entire organization. I have reviewed and revised several company handbooks, written numerous job descriptions, general policies, and SOPâ€™s.
I have worked over the years as an HR professional to position myself as a true strategic partner and resource for the CEO and Executive Leadership team to drive the business forward keeping in mind that we get results from people. An empowered and engaged workforce equates to a successful company. In HR â€“ Our people are our product.
