Experienced Virtual Assistant – Amber Kinney

Dear Ms. Kinney,

I was very excited to see your posting on HireMyMom.com. I’ve loved my time in the entertainment industry, but looking forward to the next step in my career, I’ve realized that, like you, I was very influenced by my parents who were small business owners. There’s something about that entrepreneurial spirit and focus on costumers that I’ve always cared about. I would welcome an opportunity to employ my well-honed organizational skills, team-building attitude, and die-hard work ethic in this realm.

Though my titles have varied over the years, all of my jobs, including VP, Development, have included a large proportion of Executive Assistant tasks. I have always supported the head of each company I’ve worked for in addition to any other tasks assigned me.

My skills and experience that pertain to this position include:

• Skilled multi-tasker – used to juggling multiple deadlines, anticipating needs and exceeding expectations
• Dedicated – putting my full attention and creativity toward each and every project
• Robust financial aptitude – oversaw the bookkeeping of multiple companies
• Polished writer – wrote grants and proposals, drafted contracts, updated company blogs and proofread scripts
• Web savvy – developed and updated company websites and social media accounts
• Strong follow-up skills – managed teams of artists and writers and never missed a deadline
• Fundamental computer skills – Excel, Word, Outlook PowerPoint, Quickbooks, InDesign and Filemaker
• Adept at building and maintaining relationships – listens to others, takes feedback well, and is happy to set ego aside and put company needs first
• Upbeat Attitude – keeps the big picture in mind and maintains a sense of humor no matter how stressful the daily ups and downs

I look forward to discussing my qualifications in more detail and also learning more about how you think my skills and aptitudes would best benefit your company. Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to speaking with you soon.
