Dear Hiring Manager at Espresso English

I am writing in regards to the position of “part time virtual assistant ESL teacher by email” as advertised on “Hire My”. Thank you for the opportunity to apply for this job.

After viewing your website, it is clear that Espresso English is a dynamic business adding much value to many people, and that resonates with me. As a Speech and Language Therapist specialising in Paediatrics, I know the joy of unlocking language and communication in people, what a life-long gift to be able to give. I have 18 years of experience being a therapist and working closely with children, parents, teachers etc , to encourage and coach them along the language journey. Having run my own small business, I value professionalism, integrity, clear liaison and prompt responses to emails and clients. Furthermore, I have a wealth of experience with regards to writing reports, emails etc and am proficient in the spoken and written language, while communicating well at the level of my clients.

As a mother of 3 children, one of whom is a feisty little toddler, I have purposefully limited my personal business to a handful of patients currently, as planning and providing therapy for children can be extremely time consuming. I am also in the midst of building my online Speech Therapy business, providing advice and encouragement to parents of young children, and am working on launching my personally developed online course to equip parents and child carers to stimulate their baby’s and young children’s language in the best possible way. The reason why I say all of that, and forgive me for being long winded, is because I fully understand that you do not want to employ an “entrepreneur trying to build their own online ESL teaching business”, and so I would like to be completely upfront with you. My intention is certainly not to plagiarise, or take anything but experience and good working relations from your business, but I will leave it to your discretion if you feel that I would be an appropriate match or not. (If you would like to check me out a bit more online, you can find me on Facebook, You Tube and Instagram @felicityjanemorris; Together Therapy). My website is still under construction.

In a nutshell, I would greatly value and enjoy the flexi-hour work that you are offering along with the additional income as I navigate through this busy season of my life with mommyhood and work, and would love to add value to your business and students too.

Thank you for your consideration.

Kind regards
Felicity Morris
