Customer Service – Cover Letter

I was very excited to see your vacancy for a Customer Service position at Tradlands which was advertised on the www.hiremymom.com website. I am a well-qualified professional holding a Bachelors degree in Communications as well as a Masters degree in Philosophy, and vast experience in customer relations through various positions that involved communicating with clients or donors.
I am a stay-at-home mom of 3 who is ready to return to the workplace on a part-time basis out of home-office. My children attend school, and therefore I now have the time and ability to provide undivided attention to a position on a part-time basis. I felt a strong connection with your product, your brand, how you care about how it is made, where it is made, and how your customers feel. This truly seems like the kind of company I would love to work for.
A little bit about myself: I love to read blogs related to DIY projects, food, fashion, and social causes. I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), but hold a legal work permit in the United States, and I am fluent in both English and Portuguese. I live in the Philadelphia suburbs.
Over the years I held several positions that demonstrated my ability to fulfill the needs you have for the Customer Service Position, but my most recent position as Client Relations Manager is probably the strongest example. In order to obtain success in that role, I had to demonstrate great oral and written communication with clients, quick and thorough replies to calls and emails, proficiency in various technologies, and excellent etiquette and diplomacy in dealing with customers.
I am driven, extremely organized, have a proven track record of being able to conceive, develop & execute tasks and I truly desire a chance to return to work at this point in my life. I feel certain that my strong skills coupled with my drive to succeed will be of immediate value to your company.
