Cover Letter: Virtual Assistant & Marketing Position(s) for Erica Blair Branding

RE: Virtual Assistant & Marketing Position for Erica Blair Branding

Dear Ms. Blair,

I would like to first start off by saying how refreshingly unique your job posting is. The care and detail that you put into it makes me incredibly excited to apply for a position on your team! In fact, I’d like to propose something quite unique as well. A colleague of mine, Leah Heidinger, and I work (remotely) together for a very small online marketing firm. The financial disposition of the company, unfortunately has been quite volatile since Leah and I started a few short months ago. Our hours have been significantly reduced for the sake of payroll costs which has (with the blessing of our CEO) led us to branch out and search for a position that would give us additional hours or perhaps a career shift – if the fit is amazing. Leah and I have found our stride working as Project Manager counterparts. In three short months we have developed and perfected (from scratch) a living/breathing SOP inside Process Street along with incredibly detailed checklists surrounding all major business tasks. Along the way we have learned a “little about a lot” in terms of social media marketing. More specifically; creating ad campaigns in Facebook Manager and Editor. Together (and separately) we posses and excel at many of the skills you are looking for in candidates that will lead to great success in your new endeavor. I think she and I would be the dynamic duo you are looking for to cover some very integral roles – primarily in your Virtual Assistant tasks, but lightly with your social media marketing as well.

I’ll, of course, let Leah go into deeper detail about her specific expertise, and go ahead and share a few of mine. Working remotely has truly been my calling and it allows me to focus on providing exceptionally detailed, creative, passionate and efficient work. I’ve never felt the ability to focus so well without the interruption and distraction of a group office and constant customer contact. I’ve found my niche’ in project management in the virtual world and the flexibility it offers. I am incredibly passionate about and love my current position dearly. However, this is a start-up and business has been quite volatile to the point that my hours have been cut down to a number far lower than I am financially comfortable with.

Additionally, I am currently completing the full online Facebook Blueprint training courses, which will make me an even stronger force for this role! I absolutely LOVE slack as a form of communication and am familiar with Twilio, Bitly, Process Street, Zapier, Zoom and mildly familiar with CRM’s such as ActiveCampaign, Infusionsoft, Aweber and iContact. I can ensure you that I am a quick and dedicated learner and do very well with little direction and task/project management.

The tasks you have listed that I would offer wonderful support in include (but definitely aren’t limited to):

• Email & Facebook Messenger inbox management

• Creating standard operating procedures (MY BREAD AND BUTTER!)

• Scheduling meetings

• Conducting research

• Many other small tasks that will come up from time to time

Other tasks listed that I have a little experience with but am very eager to learn more in depth are:

• Helping me grow my online presence, primarily via Facebook,
Instagram, LinkedIn & Pinterest

• Plan and create posts designed specifically for each social media
network

• Help to use supplementary software & technology to accelerate growth
of follower count

• Create collaborations with aligned brands to expand reach

• Engage & respond with social media comments on a daily basis

Please review the enclosed resume, which highlights the dedication and accomplishments that will enable me to contribute to your team as a passionate resource for high level support. I am looking for opportunity within a company that thrives on innovation, exceptional service, and continues to keep up with today’s fast paced technology movement and trends.

I enjoy the challenges of a fast environment and take great pride in maintaining high quality working relationships. I’m incredibly self-driven and require little direction, but am very open to whatever amount is necessary to do an exceptional job. I work well with large amounts of responsibility, confidentiality, task management and organization.

Thank you for taking the time to review my skills and experience. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your culture and opportunity as well as answer any questions that you may have regarding my qualifications. Please feel free to contact me at the referenced phone number or e-mail address on my resume. I sincerely look forward to hearing from you, and building a lasting working relationship.

Kindly,
Shannon Culp
