Computer Blog Cover letter
September 11, 2017
Dear Ms. Benton:
I spotted your listing for a blogger on hiremymom.com. I would love to see if I could be of help. I’m pretty sure I meet your qualifications. I’ve addressed the point you made in your listing below. Just let me know if you’d like to know more.
• Need to be proficient in English and grammar: I’ve been speaking English my whole life! I’m actually pretty good at that grammar thing too. I have a dusty old English degree and I’ve been writing for a really long time. I’m not worried about this one.
• Needs to know punctuation, etc and how to construct a complete sentence: Thank goodness I feel pretty comfy with this one! My MBA probably helps a little bit too, I’ve got a link to some examples of my work listed above in case you want to take a look.
• Needs to work with me on the proper headlines and subheadlines for each blog: I’m guessing you want to rock that SEO boat. I can help with that. I have to worry about that all the time. It’s hard getting Google to love you but I’m sure good at trying.
• Needs to follow the pattern of a blog that I have come up with: I looked at your website and am sure I can copy your style. It might take a couple tries to perfect it but I’m sure willing to try.
In the interest of full disclosure, I’m no expert in insurance. I know what any adult should know and maybe a little bit more. But then, that’s what the Internet is for. If I don’t know it, I’ll research it! I’m not a techy but I can sure make a keyboard sing. It is very safe to say that when it comes to tech I know a lot more than a lot of people and a lot less than Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg. Tech doesn’t scare me. Give me a topic and let me see what I can do.
I hope this information helps. If you have any questions just let me know.
