In my past roles as Parent Team Coordinator and Team Chair for Pittsburgh Girlsâ€™ Choir and YoungLives Three Rivers, respectively, I screened and hired volunteers to work on numerous projects. This enabled me to improve my abilities to hire exemplary individuals, furthering my interpersonal communication skills. I maintained detailed records on all the people who volunteered during my tenure, and actively sought to address their concerns about the nature of their work and relationships with their peers. These roles developed my reputation as a nurturing yet professional presence whom they could always reach out to for help. I also had the opportunity to spearhead fundraisers.
In addition to my volunteer experience, I also served as the Sales Manager of Auto Trader Magazine where I led teams, grew and managed all aspects of sales and day-to-day functions; created pipelines of active prospects, cold calls, and renewals, among others. There, I also initiated, cultivated and fostered relationships with top advertisers, including businesses in the local area.
My teaching experience in homeschooling my children of different grade levels also honed my instructional and motivational skills, patience, and communication. Now with my children in college and others studying independently, I canâ€™t wait to go back to work and bring my unique expertise to Coffee Gator.
