To Whom It May Concern:

I am applying for the Operations Coordinator position. My previous experience, education, and background will make me a great candidate for this position. I have been involved with social work, human services, and program management for several years. Previously, I worked for a Goodwill Industries and Hawaii DHS to aid welfare recipients to maintain their benefits, increase their income, and provide referrals. I currently work as a program supervisor for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families program. As a supervisor, I manage several staff members and provide weekly supervision. Many of my other duties include developing training , managing a $2.65 million annual budget, and overseeing grant requirements. In addition, I have an important role in the development and implementation of program policy and procedures and CARF amendments/accreditation. I am involved in other community projects including the Coordinated Entry System and the San Diego Veterans Coalition. I attend community meeting and events, representing the SSVF program and VVSD. I give occasional presentations on the agency and specific programs to other providers. Also, I am one of the local leads for HOPE (SOAR) San Diego which identifies homeless individuals who are in need of SSI/SSDI benefits.

I obtained a MS in Psychology in 2013 from Nova Southeastern University. Currently, I am working towards a Psy.D. from California Southern University. I am intimately familiar with the military lifestyle as my spouse has been active duty since 2005. Helping military and veteran families is my passion.
