Hello! How are you today? My name is Beth Garrison and Iâ€™d like to apply for your Assistant position. I graduated from Bradley University in May 2010, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Sales-Marketing. I then continued my education at Olivet Nazarene University and earned a Masters in Teaching in May of 2013. I recently resigned from teaching 2nd-Grade in order to best provide for my family at home. I would still love to continue to work for a business like yours while staying at home.
Some of my favorite jobs I have had in my past have been in the medical field. Throughout high school and post-college, I worked for a doctor in Kankakee, IL. I did a number of things for him including initial greeter/front desk assistant, billing assistant, dictating, managing hard charts as well as e-charts when he switched to that, filing and several other clerical tasks that he had me do. I have also worked at a DME brick and mortar store. While working there, I filed papers in charts, managed inventory, and helped customers when they came in. I also worked as an events specialist in a nursing home for a very short time before beginning to teach. Although I do not have a technical working knowledge in the medical field, I am familiar with it. While working as a teacher, I had extensive practice at paying attention to all details. I have also learned how to have excellent customer service skills, even in hard situations between my sales background as well as teaching.
