As an administrative/event planner professional with over twenty years’ experience, I know my diverse skills and qualifications will make me an asset to your team.
As you will see from my resume, I’ve built my career in a variety of roles and industries, from tourism to sports but mostly in small companies where to be successful you had to take initiative, prioritize and focus on the task and be prepared for anything (like power-washing a parking lot after police horses have grazed there before the event opens—kind of anything).
In addition to being responsive and prepared, I’m also a fanatic for details – an event, office or home cannot run smoothly without attending to every little and big detail and planning for those that come unexpectedly. I understand these types of situations might not occur in every job, however they are skills that I have gained through my professional and personal experiences and am able to apply them to any task, situation or training that is thrown at me.
I am also a mother of three children, a single mother actually. I have recently taken a position within the financial industry that has left me out of balance with my role as a mother. My current position, while a great opportunity, is not the right fit for me and my family. I sincerely believe finding an opportunity to be able to be a reliable, essential part of a working team, while having the ability to care for my family would be the right fit for me. I would give that company and their customers my best every day in return for the opportunity. I appreciate your considering me and enthusiastically look forward to hearing from you.
