To Whom It May Be Concerned:
I’m interested in applying for the Administrative Assistant position. For the last 10-11 years I worked in Corporate America as a Buyer for 7-Eleven. My tenure at 7-Eleven has prepared me to take on any challenge. My 10+ years of experience as a Buyer at 7-Eleven required me to wear many different hats. I am a Project Manager that ensures that project milestones are met, manage costs, and ensuring collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. I Research sourcing options to counteract rising vendor prices, resource out of spec items, and identify innovative new product lines. I am a Negotiator on contract changes, contract cost savings, contract cost increases and overstocked inventory. I act as an Accounts Payable liaison by reconciling any vendor billing issues and discrepancies. I also perform the duties of an Administrator by on boarding new suppliers, managing quarterly and yearly supplier relationship meetings, and creating Request for Proposal documents. Lastly, I act as a Presenter by providing detail proposal reviews, cost saving ideas, and vendor comparisons.
Because of the reasons listed above I believe I’d be a great fit for this position. While at 7-Eleven I supported several different departments (the Field, Facilities, IT, Private Brands, and Fresh Foods Packaging). Therefore I’d love to have the opportunity to support your Executive team. I sought out this position because it’s a change from my last career. I truly feel that change is an opportunity to discover and develop new talents and to also stretch your gifts to the fullest. I am a very quick learner, am able to adapt easily, and I’m a team player. Overall I’m dedicated and have the drive and passion to become a vital member of this organization.
